It's been quite awhile since I posted and I just want to thank the ladies who emailed me to make sure I was okay.  Other than being bored, depressed and worried....I'm alright.  I went this past Monday for my annual mammogram and they found something that wasn't on last years.  I go in on March 1st for a biopsy to be taken to see what it is.  The doctor is pretty sure that it's a cyst but she wants to make sure.  I'm not real comfy with just a biopsy because when my husband had cancer in his lung, the biopsy came back negative but the doctor, bless his heart, had a bad feeling and decided to operate.  We are very happy he did because it was cancer and if we had gone by just the biopsy Lord knows where my hubby would be today.  So I'm just not having a happy moment over this development.

Question.....how many of you have had the vaccine?  I have decided not to get it in any form.  Hubby is waiting for the one shot from Johnson & Johnson but I'm not a very trusting person when it comes to medicine.  I really don't want anything to do with any of them.

I haven't been doing any cross stitch but I have been cleaning up my sewing room and doing some knitting and crocheting.  This first picture is of my storage bins for my yarns and yes each one of those bins is full of yarn.

Here are some of the projects I've finished in the last two months.

The above is a 100% alpaca yarn that is gradient from dark periwinkle to white.

The above is a yarn made out of milk and merino wool.  It feels like butter.

The above two pictures are of a very lacy one made out of merino wool and silk.

I've always wanted to make a very large shawl so the yarn below is for making that.  It is a fingering weight that is made of merino wool in a great taupe color.  I look forward to starting it.

.On January 31, husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and the kids bought this beautiful frame for us.

and here is a picture of all of us out at dinner celebrating.

I hope everyone has been well during my absence but I have been keeping up with my reading room.  I might not comment all  the time but I do read.

Stay healthy, stay happy and most of all  be Blessed,
Barbara

Good to hear from you again.
I am a bit leary about the shot too, I had a very bad reaction to the strong flu shot a few years ago.
That's a nice yarn storage system.
What beautiful cowls/scarves you've made.
Happy Anniversary!
I hope you biopsy goes well.

Barbara: It is so nice seeing a post from you, I am so happy you are doing well, I will add you to my prayer list of people who are in need of positive news.
I am with you about making sure about caner, making sure is a positive idea.
You are both so cute congratulations on 50 years of marriage.
I am also with you about the vaccine it has not been tested long enough, it scares me that so many are willing to take a chance on their health, I know one person who is having reactions, she is 78 years old.
Your neck warmers are positively beautiful.
Have a beautiful day

I have had the vaccine and had no problems whatsoever. I received it because of where I work - in an adult male, maximum security, prison. A lot of people here had the vaccine as well and NO ONE had any severe reaction. We had the one from Moderna, which from what I understand, is the best of them so far. My mom passed away from Covid-19 in December. She only had it a week. And this is the woman who, in the last 5 years or so, bounced back from pneumonia, sepsis, a heart attack with a stint placement, broken hip and surgery, emergency surgery for a perforated bowel, several major strokes, and a pulmonary embolism. I recommend the vaccine unless you have had a severe allergic reaction to any vaccine or medicine.

Happy anniversary! 50 years is wonderful! Love your cowls and your yarn storage system! Sorry I went on and on, but this is something I feel strongly about (the vaccine)

Barbara, happy belated anniversary! 50 years is an incredible milestone. Your finished yarn projects are gorgeous. Hard to pick a favorite as each one is so beautiful. I haven't had the vaccine because I am not an essential worker (I'm retired) and I don't meet the age criteria. I am quite leery about it as well. Praying that your biopsy goes smoothly and they can determine without a doubt it is a cyst. Thinking of you!
