A New Start

You've all probably heard that the Nashville show was this past week and boy did I get in trouble.  There were just so many beautiful things to choose from.....well I decided not to choose and just buy everything.  At least that's what it seems to me.

One I did purchase was a new kit from Shepherd's Bush called "Ewe Are My Sunshine".  I wish I had left it there.  I've never been disappointed in one of their kits but this one I hate.  They decided to stitch it on 18ct. linen over 2 threads and I swear this linen feels like burlap.  Here's what I have so far.

I've also been working on Snow Days and I love it so far....and that's a new needle minder to help celebrate Spring.

I wanted something that I could put my threads, scissors and glasses in when I'm not stitching to keep Little Bubs hands out of trouble so I came up with this....

I made it about 5 x 10 inches and I love how it turned out.  It's large enough to hold everything I need it to but small enough to lay on the arm of my chair.

I hope all you ladies have a wonderful weekend with family and friends.

Blessings, Barbara

Nice pouch, not too big, not too small. I gave away so much 18 count linen and still have some. Yes it is heavy and rough.

Great idea to make that pouch, will certainly come in handy!!

It's a cute design, but I don't care for the 18ct either, it's too scratchy.
Snow Days is looking good, and what a pretty pouch.

Sorry I have been missing lately,we have been busy organising our Golden Wedding Anniversary next weekend. Think all is sorted now, we do miss our Ollie dreadfully , and all seems very strange without him.

Your tool pouch is beautiful - and such a great idea. It's a shame you're not liking your Ewe stich, but I'm glad your Snow Day is going well x
