Say hello to my new friend

I received an early Christmas present today from my DH.  We were in Joann's and I've been looking for ribbon that looks like piano keys for a commissioned piece and DH and I stopped to look at the embroidery machines and this is the one I picked.  I have never owned an embroidery machine before and I've thought about getting one and they were having a sale that was hard to pass up.  This is a Husqvarna Viking Topaz and I'm in love.  I've always owned Viking sewing machines because I like the solid feel of them and this one is no exception.  I haven't had time to play with it much but I hope to get some play time next week and I'll show you what I've learned.  All of you that own embroidery machines understand what I mean about "play" time.
Now for that very important question.....does this fall under the category of "stash"?  LOL
Blessings as always,
Barbara

Well, I don't know what "shash" is, but if you are referring to "stash", noooo. This is different. It will not count. You are safe. (saying this in my robot voice) You are free. I can't wait to see what you make with your new baby!

Lubs ya,

Don't the initials that make up the word stash mean something about more than you can accomplish in a lifetime? In that case, there are two reasons this doesn't count as stash - 1, you're going to really be using this, and 2, it was a gift! Oh, and 3 is that you're going to use it with some of your current stash, so it's an aid! No guilt at all, no ma'am!

So now.... will you plz send him to the Finger Lakes Region for a repeat performance?! I'll call Joanne's here and have them set one aside, and be at the door waiting for him ~ ok? Oh yeah, you come too ~ LOL! Have scoured everywhere here this week for trims/ribbons, haven't seen any w/piano keys but I'll snag some for you if I come across it. Have fun this weekend! xoxo

O Congrats on your new toy. You have such a wonderful hubby. I agree with you....Viking machines are THE BEST. I used to sell them long ago and I still recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy a new machine.

Wow!!! Talk about getting a new toy for Christmas! Your DH did real good. And NO this is not considered as "Stash". This is a necessity piece of equipment, just like a stove or refrigerator. ppplease...
love Annette

What a sweetie your DH is, gifting you with such a wonderful new embroidery machine! And, of course it's not stash - it's a tool, not patterns or supplies and YOU didn't buy it. 'Nuff said?!

Now then, how long do we have to wait to see your first creation. . .
