Checking In and a Giveaway

I hope everyone is still hanging in there strong with what's going on in our country and that your family and you are okay.

I did a little finish by Heart In Hand called "Heart ware Bee" and it is a quick and fun stitch.

I've decided to give this pattern away and if you're interested just make a comment to this post and I'll pull a name on friday evening.  This pattern is just small (4 x 5) so it will fit in a small envelope and it's also in a plastic holder because of the little beads.  I did not touch the pattern when stitching the design because I could see through the holder to do it.  Make sense?  There are also enough beads to do the design also.  Let's keep this to the US only please.

I've started a new shawl in a Melody By Woltraum yarn which goes from baby yellow to black and I'm enjoying working on it and am waiting impatiently for it to get to the oranges and reds.

I've always wanted to make a hap shawl and I finally found one that is crocheted.  My knitting skills aren't what they use to be so I decided crochet was the only way to go.  This is what I found...

It's a free pattern on Ravelry called "Shoal" and uses over 4,000 yards of fingering weight yarn.  I have plenty of yarn to stitch this but it's just making up my mind as to what colors to use.

I also have something to share with you that I purchased on Amazon.  These are reusable zip lock bags made of silicone and are great for holding projects and threads.  There are several different brands and mine were made by Wattne.  You can write on them the project name but I prefer to just slip a piece of paper in it that has the name on.  That way they stay neat and clean.

Please stay safe amongst  all that is happening and I hope our Country can heal itself quickly and safely.

Don't forget to enter the giveaway!
Blessings, Barbara

I would love to win that little bee design! Thank you for sharing it with a stitcher. I do think that shawl will be beautiful. It almost makes me a knitter or crocheter! We are doing well and being careful. We finally did go to one of our favorite restaurants and they were being extremely careful. It was reassuring to see how they were handling an opening. I love those bags, thanks for all the information. I like project bags but would rather spend my money on actual stitching things like charts and linen! Those bags look like they would be very useful. I have been using just old zip lock bags.

Have never gotten the hang of knitting - or crocheting for that matter!! Always think I should be able to do it but yet...lol. The bee design is lovely - if I had it, it would be just a great reason to get one of those "cups" that it would fit in perfectly. Love those too! Stay safe also.
