Clare
from New Zealand. I have emailed her and left her know that she had won and I also told her I find it fascinating that two people who live on opposite sides of this world can love the same designer. This really is a small world.
Now for the bad news. I don't know if this happens to any of you other ladies who have blogs, but I get some of the nastiest emails from ladies I have never met. I don't know why and I can't explain why I have over 500 followers and I have a giveaway for what I think is a very nice pattern and I only have 8 ladies that are interested in it. Have I been nasty to anyone? Have I said something I shouldn't of? Has someone stolen my identity on the internet? I don't know but I think from the sounding of some of these emails I have (or someone posing as me) has been really awful in some way. I don't belong to any message boards and I only belong to a few groups on Facebook that have to do with stitching and I've only posted there a few times at most. This has led me to think I need to shut my blog down. I would welcome any comments on why you think this is happening or if it's happened to you. I will make up my mind in a few days as to whether or not to shut down.
Blessings, Barbara

I think that is sad. I may not always comment but would miss your blog if you shut it down. In friendship.
Also meant to say on last comment Thank You for giveaway pattern. I have emailed my address to you. Blessings.
I am also a regular reader of your blog, and I too would miss you. Is this regular emails or comments someone is sending you? It could just be some weird spam. You seem to be a lovely woman, and I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Also, you and your husband are in my prayers!
I am so sorry this is happening to you. I always read your blog but rarely comment. I already have the Essemplair chart or I would have entered your draw! What a pity that some people's lives are so sad that they need to hurt other people to gain pleasure. I will understand if you decide not to continue, but I hope you feel you can. There must be many others like me who enjoy your blog and wish you only well. Irene xx
I enjoy reading your blog, Barbara, though I seldom comment. I don't often enter giveaways because I have plenty of stash, so I don't think you should feel that your followers not entering is a reflection on you in any way. Regarding nasty emails, (a) there are unfortunately just some horrible people out there who feel the need to spread their nastiness...they should be ignored and (b) if it is a sudden thing then are you sure it isn't spam? Does it personally reference you and things on your blog or is it just generic nastiness? Either way, rise above it. Delete the emails as soon as you detect the nature of the message and keep on blogging if doing so gives you pleasure.
Best wishes

Congrats to Clare!
Some people just like to cause trouble, right?
I hope you don't close your blog.
What would we do without pics of Little John and his new soon-to-be sibling?
Marilyn
Please rethink closing your blog. Ignore the unhappy people because you have many friends here.
First of all, congrats to Clare! :)
I tend not to enter giveaways as I have quite a lot of stash awaiting for me already, but sometimes (like this time), the design was lovely and company all new for me.
So, do not take offence if few people take part. They are just being reasonable (can you believe this?) :)
I do hope you won't close your blog. I enjoy reading it even if not always commenting.
I think if the emails are not specific to you and just generic, this could simply be a nasty spam thing. I would just delete as it lands in my inbox and simply raise above it.
Congratulations Clare! I have no idea why someone would take the time to leave nasty comments. Sad. Very sad indeed. I value our friendship. I enjoy your posts. Especially the ones with pictures of Vallie and Little John.♥ I hope you keep on blogging Barbara!
Congratulations to Clare on winning the giveaway! Barbara, I am sorry and sad that someone has to either leave you an unpleasant or feel the need to email unpleasantness. You are one of the most kind and caring people out there. I hope you continue to blog. Thinking of you!
I, too, would miss your blog posts. Please ignore those that are so mean! They are probably just jealous of your talent! I didn't enter because I have a lot of stash, too.
I'm sorry you received some nastygrams. Don't let the bullies get you down. I also like to read your posts but didn't respond to the giveaway for any particular reason. Keep plugging along. I think there are more appreciative people out there than the nasty ones, it's just that the nasty ones get all the air time.
Congrats to Clare! I enjoy reading your blog even though I don't always comment. Sorry that you are getting nasty emails or comments. I get the nasty comments and emails too. I figure they are spam so I just delete and ignore them. Don't get too discouraged and I hope you don't close your blog because of it.
I don't comment on most blogs, but I do enjoy reading them. Please don't shut yours down. I do read it and enjoy it. Thanks.
What on earth are these people thinking? I don't comment on blogs as much as I used to, but I always enjoy seeing what you have to say. Please try to ignore the nasties, and continue doing what you enjoy.
I hope you won't close your blog because of these nasty people, Barbara. I am a regular reader of your blog and always enjoy it. I'm from the UK and don't have any 'real life' stitching friends so reading stitch blogs is my way of connecting with other stitchers and is a favourite pastime of mine.
Hugs,
Lynette
Barbara, you are not alone. A lot of bloggers receive nasty emails and posts just because and in my experience, like you, they are some of the nicest people. I wouldn't give it another thought, just delete it as spam. ♥ Hugs & Prayers, Cathryn
I'm sorry that you are getting horrible messages. I too would miss reading your blog x
I'm a bit late reading this but just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear you're receiving horrible emails. I don't always comment but I do enjoy reading your blog. As others have said, I hope you can rise above the bullies.
