It's a Great Day for a Giveaway...

and I slept so good last nite that I got up and went crazy getting things done around here before my weekly visit to my LNS.
First up I've started a new cowl and I'm using a Classic Elite yarn called Avenue and  it's turning out really nice.  This is what I have finished so far:
and this is what the pattern looks like finished:

I also want to sell my scissors that I've collected over the years.  If anyone has a good way for me to do this, please let me know.  I really don't know if I should sell them separately or as a set.  HELP!

Then of course while I was at Needle Orts I just had to purchase a few things.  This first pattern I saw last nite and I wrote myself a note to remind me to have Debbie order it for me.  Low and behold she already had it.
Which Witch by La D Da
 A new Jardin Prive pattern
and a sweet autumn design by Erica Michaels.
Then I saw this tin sitting near the register and it's a needle case by Just Nan and it's got the cutest owl on the lid.  Inside there's a very small magnet to keep your needles safe.
I made some head way on Olga today and hope to have her finished this weekend.

Here's the good news.  In celebration of the good news we received the other day, I'm having a giveaway of the pattern "Olga" and a tart tin for you to mount the finished design in.  I will even include the DMC floss.  Now you must stitch this design on 36ct. linen or 18ct. aida for it to fit in the tart tin properly.
Rules:  Must be a follower of my blog
Must leave a comment on this post only and please include your email address if it's not connected to your own blog.
And let's keep this within the U.S. only.

Vallie will attempt to pick a name this Sunday evening.  Sometimes she just doesn't cooperate.
That's it for today.  You're probably tired of reading and looking at pictures by now.
Please think of some way I can sell my scissors and don't forget to enter the giveaway.
Blessings, Barbara

I have never visited your blog, but I love it! Am unsure how to become a follower, so any help would be appreciated. If you want to contact me by email, it is memphis1943@gmail.com. Since I am NOT a follower, I guess I will not enter to win the pattern you are offering, but it is really cute and I would love to have it. Maybe I will go shopping online. I absolutely adore your puppy AND the Halloween countdown!

I would love to be in your drawing! The cowl you're knitting is so pretty. I also love the new witch chart. That is going to be so cute. I think you could sell your scissors separately. You have a nice collection.

Saw your blog on 123 stitch. I didn't know that I read your blog all of the time from another blog that I visit all the time! I have bookmarked your blog too. I am so happy with the news ya'll got from the dr. It is alway a blessing when it turns out that way! Love your knitting. I have 2 sisters that knit, but my addiction is cross stitch. There is no way I could afford to have 2 addictions. Please enter me in your giveaway. I have never stitched anything from Plum Street Samplers before. Thanks and will keep up with you on your blog and 123 stitch. Tloe2000

Love the colour of the cowl, and goodness gracious what goodies you have found. I especially like the tin , and those cobweb scissors are ones I keep meaning to buy ,just for Hallowe'en stitching. As for selling your scissors ,why? I love my stash of scissors,DH does not understand at all why I "need" so many scissors when I can only use one pair at a time. If you really are determined to sell them you could sell them 3 at a time in little groups.
Have a good weekend and we will "speak" again soon.

A giveaway is such a great idea to celebrate the good news! Olga is on my wish list and yours is looking wonderful. Your scissor collection is amazing. I have a few and they end up stashed in the WIPs I've got going, so I'm always hunting for them, lol.

I LOVE that cowl Barb, how clever you are knitting! I can't get the hang of it.
I've no idea how best to sell the scissors but aren't there restrictions about positing sharp things? Might be worth checking it out.
I messed up my previous comment and had to delete it but I was going to say please don't include me in your giveaway as I have enough stitching going on at the moment. It's a beautiful chart though.
