Just thought I'd check in to let some of you know what's been going on in my life.....the ups and downs of daily living.

First off, we still don't have anything set for when DH will be having his surgery....even if they have decided to do it.  Right now we are waiting on the surgeon at Shands Hospital in Gainesville to view his records and all the tests that the doctors here have done.  Waiting is the hardest thing to do.

I'm worried about something that's going on with me.  About 3 weeks ago, I had the "girls" squashed and they found something in my left one.  I go back on the 28th of this month for another mammogram and an ultrasound and then I guess they'll let me know the results.  There's no history of breast cancer in my family so that's good, but you can always be the "first".  Wish me luck please.

The family is doing great except for about 2 weeks ago, everyone had the stomach flu except the 2 men.  Dang them!  It was horrible!  I really felt sorry for the little ones.

I'm still working on my 3 quilts I have going and I'm really enjoying all the hand stitching.  I'm determined to finish these quilts with absolutely no machine stitching in them.  So far so good.  One is for Jenn, one for my oldest brother and one for myself.  I'll post pics soon.

That's about all that's going on around here.  Summer has hit Florida and it's already very humid and hot.  Just another day in Paradise!

Blessings, Barbara

I hope both you and your DH get answers soon and any issues will be resolved. Our local testing centers do whatever is necessary before you go home to let you know if a biopsy is needed. I was there 3 hours one time, but not having to go again and wait for results was a relief. Please keep up posted!

So sorry to hear your concerns. Waiting is so difficult and medical results often feel like they take forever. You and your honey are in my prayers!

Oh my goodness that is scary BUT as someone who has been there and come out the other side I think that what they found may be something or nothing. If they thought for sure it was something you would be straight back. I think they are looking to see if anything changes before they decide if it is worth investigating and the ultrasound will give more info. Early detection is everything so if you are unsure, you demand a biopsy which is painless under local anaesthetic and doesn't even leave a scar (or it didn't with me). In fact if you are really worried, you call and make a nuiscance of yourself and get an earlier appointment! The waiting sucks for both you and hubby. Keeping you both in my prayers xx

I wanted to thank you ladies personally but my new computer is having problems with Blogger in that it won't let me reply.
I've been saying my prayers and with yours added to them, I know everything will be okay. Thank you again for all your support and best wishes.
