Getting ready to start the Paris Mandela

Well I'm ready to start my first large Chatelaine design and I'm feeling way overwhelmed.  I'm stitching it on 36ct. natural linen and as you can see, the box is quite filled with silks, metallics and DMC flosses.  I haven't gotten the beads and crystals yet but I'm not concerned since they will go on last.  I plan on ordering them from Fire Mountain Gems if and when I get to that point.  Notice I say "if".  I'm very concerned that this is just a little too large a project for me to undertake.  I have trouble with concentration and this might cause problems.  So wish me luck and if I start falling behind, please give me a kick in the butt to get me restarted.
Blessings as always,
Barbara

I'm sure you'll do fine! I've only done 1 of hers but I LOVED working on it! It's hard, at least for me, to get bored with something that detailed and with so many stitches. I'm ready to do another one of hers!

What a pretty box to keep your floss in! That would help me want to stitch it, just to use the pretty box. : ) Good luck staying focused!

Ok Barbara, We stitch because it is fun. Just take your BAP and divide it into sections. You can claim each section as a finish and this way it shouldn't be so overwhelming. I am looking forward to seeing your progress on it. Happy Stitching!!

That looks like the kind of project I would choose to do. For some reason, I really enjoy larger projects. Am I sick or what, LOL!?!

I look forward to cheering on your progress on this one!

Wonderful! I'll be watching your progress as I've wanted to do one of these for a LONG time. Best of luck--no pressure time line so enjoy every minute no matter how long it takes.
