My progress on Carol's SAL

I still have to finish the border but I thought I'd share what I have finished so far.  This is part 1 of Carol's IStitch SAL and I'm loving it.  I already have planned on what I'm going to do with this when it's finished, but we'll keep that till later.  I'm stitching it on a 30ct. linen that I dyed and it turned out a really nice blue/green and with the dark blue Mandarin floss, it's a keeper!
Here's a question.....how many of you use Thread Heaven.  I find that when I'm working with silks or in this case bamboo, the Thread Heaven helps keep control of the fiber.  I noticed that some of these can get hairy and this keeps that from happening.
Tomorrow I'm going to be taking pics of the stash I have for sale and I'll post later in the day about it.
Blessings as always,
Barbara

Your Mystery Sal piece looks lovely. Curious how you plan to finish it.
About Thread Heaven, I tried it, but am not a fan of it. Somehow I don't like the idea of covering my threads in some waxy stuff.

Your Mystery SAL piece is gorgeous. Beautiful colours.

I haven't used Thread Heaven in years. I did find it helped with certain threads.

I love your start on the Mystery SAL. I've used Thread Heaven in the past on fibers that were hard to control. Didn't really need it on any silks, but I'd imagine bamboo could be a bit wild. I know its not supposed to harm the fiber, or have long-term detrimental effects.

I guess this shows how long I've been out of the stitching loop! I never heard of Mandarin Floss or Thread Heaven! But your project looks wonderful!

Some don't care for Thread Heaven but I adore it. I like to think it makes my flosses lay nicer and will help preserve/condition the floss in the coming years. My LA D Da ABCD in DMC black was done entirely with it, an extra step but quite necessary when I compared with and without Thread Heaven.
