I'm not sure how many of you remember this design by De La Tour Designs but it's called "Heavenly Kiss". It's done on black 28ct. Jobelan using 7 different colors of DMC ranging from white to black and 5 shades of grey in between. I would like to stitch this on natural 32ct. Belfast linen and I'm hoping for some suggestions as to what colors this would look good in. I really love the brownish greens - 830's - but I'm not sure how they would look with this design. Please help with suggestions!!!!
Have a Blessed day,
Barbara

Sorry I'm not that helpful with colours, but great design. Love to see as you go along!! :)
I think those colors would be great. I go with colors that I like and will look good with the other colors in my home. Not much help but the best I can do.
How about using colors that would look like it was carved out of some type of stone, marble or granite? That gives you quite a bit of choices. Keep the density of the colors similar to those used in the original so the dimension stays the same and it should work fine. Will look forward to seeing this one completed - very beautiful ;-)
I would suggest as the above commenter, something "natural", earthen or like stone...so anything brown, neutral or sepia would work, I would think. Good luck!
I probably can't help but for 7 shades, I like 610-11-12, and 3021,33,32,31. That's what I'm working on now!
What a superb design. So difficult to know what is best. Why don't you play around with an image on Picasa altering the colours of the image to see what attracts you.
