Hello all my find lady friends. I hope everyone is enjoying a fun Saturday and doing something that you love.
I'm disappointed about how much I have finished on the Thanksgiving Quaker I've been working on. I know I'm not going to get it finished for the holiday so I'm thinking of putting it to the side. It is a pretty quaker but the colors are very boring.....browns, tans, and coppers. I decided the add some green as the border because it needed some extra color. Here's what I have finished so far....
I'm in the mood for some Christmas colors so maybe I'll work on a Christmas design. Maybe I can get that one done before the holiday's arrive. Who knows. Maybe I should stay away from all holiday designs that way I don't have to worry about finishing them in time. The shakes are taking their toll and making it take longer to finish a design. One of these days I'm going to have to just say "that's it" and quit completely. I'm not looking forward to it but I know it's going to happen.
Blessings, Barbara

Yes Barbara, I think you should stitch what pleases you. Pick up a Christmas pattern and have at it!! :D
Your Quaker looks good, but if it is some Christmas related that is ringing your bell at the moment I say go for it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Barbara!
wishing with all my heart that the stitching fairy comes and waves her magic wand over you dear friend and chases away the shakes once and for all... xo
Looking lovely. I have an Autumn project on hold till after Christmas now as too busy to finish. That should be finished by March when our Autumn starts so join in with me on Christmas stitching. Happy Stitching.
So sorry to read this, my poor friend I know how much you love your stitching but I hope it will be a long while till you have to stop. Your work is lovely and I am itching to see what you decide to see what you decide to do for the Christmas stitch. You take great care and I'm here if you want to sent me a pm.Oh I posted the pic of the needlerolls you wanted to see on my blog.
Much love and many hugs.
Hi Barbara: I love the green you added to the border, it does make the browns and tans pop.
I am like you if the design does not catch my eye I usually put it away and start something else.
I hope your shakes do not get worse, I have an idea, I have a friend who has the shakes and she uses a floor stand frame, she rests her on the frame and has one hand under the frame and one on top and does the stab and pull that way, she says it helps, I hope if you try this it works.
Happy Thanksgiving
Catherine
I love the green. It's perfect. If you feel the need to take a break, do so. There are no rules other than just have fun and if it isn't fun, go do something else!
I've used that avoidance strategy before and I enjoyed it! :D I think we sometimes get too wrapped up in seasons and timelines and lose some of the joy of stitching.
So sorry to hear that you're struggling with the Thanksgiving design. I think if you're in the mood for some Christmas colors and stitching, you should go for it. My theory is to always stitch what is enjoyable for me. I hope it will be a long time before you quit stitching. Take care!
