I've Been Bitten by the Stitching Bug

Well here it is the 19th of May and I can say that I'm back into stitching and I'm enjoying it more than I did before.  Why does this happen to us as stitchers?  I haven't had a tapestry needle in my hand for more than 6 months and it took just one little trip to my LNS yesterday and to sit with the ladies there while they were working on needlepoint or cross stitch to get my interest going.  I got up this morning and did some rearranging of my sewing room and picked up a project that I was working on last fall.  It's "Acorn House" from "From the Heart" and I'm loving it.
I'm stitching it on 29 ct Ivory Glenshee Linen using Belle Soie Silks.  I have had in my frame collection a dark wooden one for about 20 years now and I think this will fit perfectly (if I can find the frame).
Next up is a finish,  I saw this at my LNS yesterday and just couldn't resist it.  It's a wooden sheep and I stitched it with  a hand dyed silk and made it into a necklace type hanging.  Right now I just have it hanging on a doorknob and it's just too cute.  It's by Romy's Creations and they are called "Stitch in wood".  There are several different designs and this little guy just called to me.

Last but not least are some updated pictures of our little guy.  He hates taking a bath so Peyton being a smart Mom looked for something else to give him his bath in.  He loves this little bucket.....it's just the right size.

He also loves bananas and Peyton found this new gadget where you can put somewhat solid food in it and they suck it out like a lollypop.  As you can see.....he likes his bananas..

As you can see he's a big boy now and sitting up all by himself.  They grow so fast and it's fascinating to watch the changes in him from week to week.  We won't get to see him this weekend and it just about breaks my heart but I'm sure Peyton will send pictures and videos.  She's good at doing that.
Well that's all for now ladies.  I've been having trouble with my back and the heating patches and Bengay are helping to take care of that problem.  I hope all of you are enjoying the beginning of summer and will have oodles of fun with family and friends.

Blessings to all, Barbara
